Disrespectful Tweenager; Suggestions Wanted! (2 posts)

We have a 10 year old daughter that is the most caring girl (for example: she makes hand-crafted gifts for others; bought her older sister and younger brother gifts with HER own birthday money). As long as things are going her way, we couldn’t ask for a better daughter. However, if something doesn’t go her way, she becomes hateful, spiteful, disrespectful to her dad and I. She has been like this for a very long time. We have tried taking privileges away, but that’s just a short-term fix. ANY SUGGESTIONS or are we just going to have to wait until she’s grown and out of the house for some peace?
