On Christmas day when I entertain some of my family, they expect this dip as one of the snacks before dinner. No exceptions!
During this busy time, making anything you can ahead and freezing is the way to go. This dip freezes wonderfully- just microwave and stir in 2 minute intervals until warmed through. It really doesn’t need to be lava-like. I always serve with carrot and celery sticks and Keebler club crackers. Just finished cooling a double batch and squirreled it away in the freezer; will thaw in the fridge 2 days before I want to serve. Ridiculously easy but soooo good. Here at Family Circle, this is a classic any time of the year.
