I’m not a huge football fan, but I never miss a Super Bowl party. I’m not going to pass up an excuse to chow down on nachos, dips and other splurge-worthy treats!

Since I’m still figuring out what to make for Sunday, I decided to round up a few options that I–or you–could throw together in the slow cooker. Bringing a crowd-pleasing yet effortless meal to the party sounds like a winning idea to me.

Sausage and Peppers Heroes: When it comes to game day fare, succulent sausage sandwiches are tops.

Buffalo Chicken Dip: My friend made this for last year’s Super Bowl and it was phenomenal. She whipped up her recipe stove top, but check out these delicious slow cooker variations from Frank’s RedHot and A Year of Slow Cooking.

Spinach Artichoke Dip: Another of my favorite dips that I only eat during events like the Super Bowl. This recipe from Small Kitchen College looks good!

Vegetarian Chili: My three bean chili isn’t a gut-buster, so it would be a great addition to a not-so-healthy spread. It’s great on its own or you could top nachos with it. Yum!

Pork Carnitas: Tacos + football = touchdown. Plus, they’re made with beer. How’s that for Super Bowl appropriate?
